Airshows are back, and the next two editions of Aviation News Journal will be jam-packed with photographs from some of the best airshows in North America. Additionally, our team is working on creating new videos for our YouTube channel, so be sure to keep an eye on that! Better yet, why not subscribe to our YouTube channel?
The
Abbotsford International Airshow lasted from the Friday evening to the Sunday afternoon. Being based in Calgary, AB, I flew to Abbotsford just for the Sunday. Photography was challenging, partly due to the crowd line's distance from the runway, but also due to the fact that one had to shoot against the sun. Still, the trip was worthwhile, as it is not often one gets to see a Douglas Dauntless flying in formation with a Douglas Skyraider, or an F-18 and an F-15 sharing the skies, for example. I particularly enjoyed seeing a B-17 flying with a Bf-109 and a P-47.
Next year, if all goes according to plan, we hope to bring you all the action from the EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Meanwhile, we hope you will enjoy this edition of ANJ. We are particularly grateful to our friends at Tristar Aviation for reporting on
Anatolian Eagle and Anatolian Phoenix in Turkey.
Until next time, fly safely.
